How drivable are the roads?

For drivers’ info, the last 9 km to Black Tree from Kirme is a mountain dirt road. It is however not difficult to drive, just a bit bumpy.

Is there 24 hr hot water?

Yes.

How do I get to Black Tree?

We will make sure you are sent detailed directions on how to get to Black Tree.

Can Black Tree organise a hire car and airport transfers?

Yes, we offer transfers to/from the airport (Dalaman), and other resorts. Alternatively, guests can hire a car and collect it from the airport on arrival, and we will make sure you are sent detailed directions on how to get to Black Tree. Car hire collection can also be arranged from Black Tree.

What are the local transport facilities?

There is no local transport connecting Black Tree! Hire car is advisable. If you don’t opt for hiring a car, Black Tree offers a beach service twice a week. We can arrange a pick up/drop off to your destination for a minimal fee.

How far are the nearest beaches?

  • Kabak Beach (17 km) - 25 mins by car.
  • Kidrak Beach (19 km) - 30 min by car
  • Oludeniz Beach (22 km) - 35 min by car
  • Patara Beach - 25 km (45 min by car)

What kind of food served at the restaurant & prices?

Black Tree serve mostly home cooked Mediterranean style cooking. We use organic produce wherever possible, much of which comes from the farm itself. Special diets- such as gluten free- can be catered for. Main courses are around 5-9 GBP – a bottle of house wine 7 GBP.

What are the opening and closing times of the restaurant?

07.30- 22.00 every day

Where can I buy groceries/provisions for self- catering?

We do have a small shop at Black Tree with some provisions. If you have a hire car - you can always drive to local markets in Esen or Olu deniz to stock up.

If we want to go out in the evenings, what are the options?

Olu Deniz is a buzzing beach resort with restaurants and bars. Kabak Bay and Faralya Village offer more intimate and homely places to eat, while Karakoy has several more upmarket wine houses as well as local bbq tavernas to choose from. Fethiye is an hour’s drive away with a busy harbour, stylish marina and vibrant nightlife.

Is air-conditioning needed in the cottages during the hot season?

No! Because of the altitude at Black Tree and the "yayla havasi", even at the hottest time of the year in August, Black Tree is not too hot during the day and nice and cool in the evenings.

Is there an Internet connection at Black Tree?

Yes, but it is slow, due to the old system village phone lines. There is no wifi but guests can go online with their laptops at the restaurant.

What is there for kids do to?

There are plenty of activities for kids at Black Tree. These include the swimming pool, a children’s playground, farm animals & donkey and pony riding, indoor play room with TV & DVD, a library with children’s books and a pottery studio, not to mention making new friends!

Does Black Tree supply towels?

Yes, towels are provided at the cottages, so is bed linen, and both are changed twice a week. We do not supply pool and beach towels.

Do you have cots & high chairs for guests’ use?

Yes, we have baby cots and high chairs for little ones.

Is there internet connection at Black Tree?

Yes, we do have Wi-Fi avaliable at Black Tree
